Default Network Set up disk

Without reinstalling the network configuration is there a
way to create another network set up disk (3.5" floopy)
since I have lost the original.
Thanks,
Mike

What hardware is involved, Mike? If you're on Windows XP, just use Wireless
Zero Configuration built in.

I am using a MS MN-500 with MN-520 wireless adaptors. 2
of my laptops are WinXP and one is Win2000. Each time I
set a new one up or re-install the op sys I have to
manually input the network info, ie the WEP (thats the
biggest pain), Network name and workgroup. The built in
ZC only seems to take care of the IP's and such.
Thanks,
Mike

That's correct, Mike. For the WEP, I save from the base station screen into
a text file (copy/paste) and then do the same on the next machine. There
are several different areas involved, as you've noted, with DHCP enabled,
you should be able to pick up the network name automatically, but do need to
check the Workgroup prior to setting up the LAN. Remember the correct
Channel on the network adapter, too.

Thanks Chris, I'll start doing it that way. The disk
always made it easier but I haven't found a way to
recreate it though.
Thanks,
Mike

Personally, I've dumped it and found it easier, plus faster manually. About
the third time it said it couldn't find the right info, I pitched it. 8-)
