Without knowing your current skills, it's hard to give you advice here.
I think you should start with general Windows server knowledge and then
dig into some reading. There are tons of good books, videos and howto
blog articles on the internet. To get an overview of things, I suggest
you set up the following:
Have a lab with three Virtual machines at least (two domain controllers
and one client).
Get the following book(s):
- Active Directory 4th Edition (Brian Desmond et. al.)
- Inside Active Directory (Sakati Kouti, Mika Seitsonen - you may want
to read that once you have a good understanding of how things work already)
- Check the MSPress Exam Preparation books. Although you may not want to
take the exam, they provide basic knowledge on how things work and teach
good step-by-step practice.
